Bound for Ellis Island

Here are some photos I took when in NYC recently. These images depict frolicking seafarers on-board the Miss Ellis Island, bound for, you guessed it, Ellis Island – that enigmatic landmass known for being the nation’s busiest ‘immigrant inspection station’ during the late-nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries. The island’s museum is a must for those interested in the history of the cosmo pop who today call New York City their home.
